Can’t decide whether I can see a pale spot at the base of the upper mandible or not. Even so, cutting edges pale, looks a bit dusky behind ear coverts, can’t see much of a secondary panel, and quite a few shiny highlights in the cap. My Chocolate Buttons are on Marsh

  2. James Robson says:

Marsh tit based on the Dewolf bill criterion

  3. pale cutting edges to mandibles and apparent two toned cheek say Marsh, jizz seems a bit more Willow but maybe thats just the posture!

  4. R. Harris says:

Marsh tit – I think that is a pale spot at the base of the upper mandible and hint of glossy cap.

  5. Adam Hartley says:

Marsh tit: – base of the upper bill is somewhat obscured but you can make out the contrast between the white cheek and slightly darker neck

  6. Andy Nunn says:

I’m a relative beginner, but would have gone for marsh tit based on the ‘comma’ on the cheek (see http://www.eyrg.co.uk/the%20dark%20comma.htm).

  7. Phil Bishop says:

Marsh Tit based on the bill.
