In Britain + NW Europe
by MG and Steve Arlow
Compare and contrast. Steve’s pics were taken in Essex, UK, 2 days ago (12th August 2012). Finding and seeing a full juvenile Caspian Gull is still a rare treat in the U.K. This was one of 2 at the site.
And to compare 2 different juvenile Yellow-legged Gulls. Both of these have started to moult in new ‘1st winter’ scapulars. There are more of both in this plumage to be found!
